Stonehouse is a very neat and unique place. The building has a really cool architectural design and is natura pretty cool temperature wise making it a comfortable place to stay. The host was very responsive to our messages, which we greatly appreciate. Unfortunately there were the good thing stopped. The bathroom in our room wasn’t clean. There was hair all over the floor and in the shower drain. There were spiders and dead ants in the bath/shower area and random trash left on the room. The road noise made sleeping almost impossible except during the wee hours of the morning. The room itself is probably 30 feet from a major 4-lane road with heavy traffic. Overall for the price I was very disappointed in the state of the room itself more than anything. To the host’s credit they had someone come clean the room while we were out for the day, which was much appreciated. If the property was quieter I’d probably give it another shot but the combo of issues really killed our stay.
Unfortunate that a new facility could not respond better, act promptly and act like they wanted to resolve the issues. Arrive in town for a memorial. Unable to access the front door, before 5 on a Friday. The Property Manager is supposed to be available at 4:57 called to ask about access, no response, ever. Called the "if you need help line" they couldn't find the reservation. Finally spoke to someone who had to call back. After 30 minutes of waiting had to get to the memorial dinner (couldn't clean up after the flight or change). About an hour later received a call if I could try a few codes NO I am at a memorial dinner. Left dinner to go and check if the codes worked. Finally got access, ants in the bath tub and used dirty coffee cups (2) on the patio and they were still there when I left???? Ant's were still in the bathroom and there was never a response to how to turn the outside lights on - so there were no lights at night. Really to bad nice property with potential,
The building itself is beautiful. The room was very spacious and amenities - shower, bed, coffee were all good quality. The house is near the road so there was some traffic noise. We had some trouble with the door code not working so it took longer than expected to get into the room, but the host was responsive and available to help us, even at 11pm when we arrived, so it was sorted without too much stress.
